Inner Peace Never Left You

Often humans when feeling internal peace has left is rooted in the camouflage that external conditions and circumstances are to blame for current issues. The truth is peace is not something to search for or discover because our internal landscape of peace is always and forever present within! Many refuse to accept life on life’s terms, creating a blocked perception that the present moment is supposed to be different than it actually is. However , no amount of begging the Universe or Divine Source will create each present moment into what we conjure up in our great minds as being perfect (so we can experience being happy) will ever come into fruition.

Once we can accept this fact, the sooner we can step into solutions that really work! Too often many of us are firmly attached to the belief that we know how life, actions of others, and situations are supposed to look and be. We are like the two year old in the midst of a temper tantrum making demands to have it all our way, based on what we think is the truth when we actually have no control over the ability to conjure the inner peace we have experienced in our own personal history. This never did and never will work. Why? Our internal peace and calm has become obscured , in a secret hiding place buried and covered by that deafening noise of our emotions, self sabotaging thoughts, and those stuck attachments we are carrying around like a heavy sack of trash weighing us down. We become tired, depressed, overwhelmed , even angry that peace has disappeared , and start telling ourselves that old story that we will never find it again! Out of this despair we may even re-visit old distractions and addictions of all kinds as we walk in denial of we know how to fix this problem!

We allow our great intellectual minds to wander in the gardens of our past or our future…places that either are already gone or have not even arrived yet! Lost in these places that do not even exist our mind goes on the merry go round of distractions such as why is my friend not responding to my texts, when should I travel again, do I have the money to catch up on those due bills, why can I not practice self love and compassion all the time, thinking about what he posted on his social media page instead of checking up to see how I am doing with my sickness, or where is my internal peace when I need it the most! Our Monkey Mind has taken over convincing us these stories are reality and happening now in the present moment, and we start feeling our neck/shoulders tighten as we have entered into STRESS!

Wait! We can ask ourselves what have we forgotten that works. The remembrance starts tiptoeing back whispering that we can use the PAUSE, take some cleansing inhalations and exhalations, and the loud AHA!! We become aware once again it is not about being in control, not about proving we are good enough, not about doing more to show evidence we are strong and perfect, not about showing others how helpful we can be, and not about coming up with the perfect plan and great words we tell anyone we want to please and rescue!!

The YOU that became abandoned from your internal peace leaving is the same YOU that still has the PEACE that never really left! You do not even have to do any exercise or procedure. As you stop and pause, be the witness of your own breath and emotions. Nothing needs to be fixed. Stillness. Acceptance. Affirming peace never left. There it is ..not a place but a state of being in gentleness in an experience as Peace reveals itself to your Inner Knowing, and you remember …my Peace never left..not for one second!

Ah, the Human Experience is so interesting , isn’t it!
